Nürburgring – 2.4h

It has been a while since I participated in some good serious leagues racing. But now it is time for some fun racing and therefore I joined the “Majors Series 2018”. On Sunday April 29 round 5 took place at Nürburgring in a 2,4 hours event with no driver swaps. As you know, this place is also known as the “Green Hell”. This is a very challenging track where you really need to stay focused to avoid crashing into some of the many concreate walls! Then add the fact that you need to do so for 2,4 hours – this is a tough challenge!
I qualified 11 and managed to finish 7 by consistent and focused driving. The winner should have been Bram Reniers. He had a strong lead but suffered from a disconnect on the very last lap!
If you have not yet been running in the Majors Series, then I can only recommend that you try it out. You will be challenged by tracks and cars that you most likely otherwise would not consider. This is however the beauty of this series. Get out of your comfort zone and push yourself to learn and adapt.

Finally, the long wait is over and the F1 season opening in Melbourne is only a few days away.
The test week showed some promising pace for the 2018 Haas racer. I hope to see Romain and Kevin excel in the midfield and score some good points for the team. Like so many other F1 fans, I really look forward to the upcoming Sunday morning where the lads are passing by for breakfast and F1 tv-watching. Good luck Romain and Kevin !

Today Kevin Magnussen was confirmed to join the Renault Formula One Team. This was great news for all Danish motorsport fans. Kevin is a very pleasant guy with great potential. I believe he really deserve this extra chance in F1. There is no doubt that Renault will do all they can to make this car competitive - also if it will take some years to reach the goal. Now I almost can’t wait for the season starter in Melbourne at marts 20. Good luck Kevin! ☺

After a very short race at Sebring – which only lasted one lap – we finally managed to reach the checkered flag at COTA in the second round of NES season 2. It quickly became obvious that we are one of the slowest teams in the GT1-field. We qualified the car to the dead-last position on the grid for our class. After 6 hours of racing on this very challenging track, we finished 10 out of 15 by consistent driving and staying out of trouble. We will go home, practice and return stronger for the next race ☺

The fourth event of the NES took place at the famous track in Belgium on January 24. The track is home for many endurance races over the years and is of course also included in the NES schedule in an 8-hour version. It features the exiting Eau Rouge / Raidillon combination.
Once again we had a good run throughout the 8-hour event. Only exception was a contact with car 65 from Hammer Down Racing in turn 19 after about one 1 hour and twenty minutes of racing. It was a simple incident, most likely caused by some misunderstanding in communicating and sharing the track and corner. As a result the wheel was of center by 10 degrees or so. We brought the car in for 5 minutes of repair and when reentering the track the car was almost back in shape but not quite though. The handling was somehow still different and lap-times were a bit slower – not by much though. From then on the race was a pure joy and great to be part of :-)
With only 3 races remaining we are placed 12 of 15. This properly the best we can do for now as we are racing some of the fastest simracing drivers around.

We are very happy to announce the addition of two new very capable drivers for our driver line-up for NES season 2. In this season, we will participate in the GT1 class driving the Aston Martin DBR9. The competition is even tougher in this upcoming season. The first race is an 8-hour race at Sebring taking place October 18. A warm welcome to Michael Tommerup and Jens Christoffersen ! :-)
